I'm excited to report that I am in the process of shipping off all your beautiful dice and getting them on the way to you :D
I estimate it will take me about two weeks or so to get everything shipped, so I appreciate your patience. There is no particular order in which the rewards are shipped, but when your package ships you will receive an email with your tracking information.

Shipping Addresses Lock in 48 Hours!

Hello backers!
I am excited to say that I have taken delivery of the vast majority of the dice! My inner dice goblin is elated to have temporarily added over 20 thousand dice to the hoard, but I will be even happier once all of you have received your rewards :D
I am still waiting on the last few boxes which should arrive any day now *compulsively refreshes the tracking info for the 10th time today*.
I will begin shipping soon, so it is time to make sure that your shipping addresses are up to date. You should have just received an email from BackerKit providing the link if you need to make any changes.

Manufacturing Nearly Complete!

Hello backers!
I am pleased to report that I'm on track to ship all your rewards in November as promised. The manufacturing process is nearly complete - the dice have been made and they are currently being packed into their cases, shrink wrapped, and labeled.
I am clearing out space and getting organized so that as soon as the dice are delivered to me in late October / early November I can pack and ship your rewards quickly and efficiently. I estimate it will take me about 110 hours to pack and ship. I take care of my toddler during the day so much of the work will be done at night, but I expect to pack for 5-8 hours per day which puts me at 2-3 weeks to ship everything.
For future projects I will be using a fulfillment company, which will speed up the process. However, since this is my first resin dice release I wanted to examine everything myself and conduct additional quality checks to ensure it meets my standards.
Thank you for your support and patience. Sending the dice to you is the most enjoyable part of the process for me. I can't wait for you to see these dice in person at your gaming table where they belong!

More Manufacturing Progress!

Hello backers!
Manufacturing continues to go smoothly and I am on schedule to ship rewards in November as promised. While I am actually slightly ahead of schedule, the timeline moved back a bit since there were some dice that I rejected which need to be remade. It is very important to me that you get the highest quality dice possible, so I always plan time into my production schedule to handle these situations.
All of the resin dice have been poured, demolded, trimmed, and polished. The dice are now in the process of having color applied to their numbers, which is referred to as "inking". Most dice are inked by painting the entire die and then wearing off the surface with an abrasive process that leaves the color only in the recessed numbers. That is a cost-effective method but it rounds over the edges and vertices of the dice, leaving a distorted geometry. In order to keep those edges sharp, the color must be applied directly to each number individually. My skilled production team is currently working through the painstaking task of inking every number by hand. This is the most labor-intensive part of the manufacturing process and is the main reason why premium sharp-edged dice are so much more difficult to produce.

Manufacturing is Going Well!

Hello backers!
I am happy to report that manufacturing has begun and is going smoothly. Everything is on track for your rewards to ship in November as promised and my hope is to ship sooner :D
The hand pouring of the resin dice is underway. Here is a picture of some of the first dice just as they came out of the mold. Even though they need to be trimmed, polished and don't have the numbers inked yet, it is still an exciting glimpse into the thousands of stunning dice that will be made as a result of your support!
The semi-precious stone dice are also coming along nicely. All the raw stone has arrived and the careful process of shaping the dice has started. They might not look like much yet, but these roughly hewn stones are on their way to becoming precision carved dice for gaming tables around the world!
Thank you again for all of your support that made this possible. There are over 20,000 dice to make and over 200,000 faces that each need their numbers inked so the process will take some time. My next update will be in a couple of weeks and I will have more exciting photos to share :D
