FAQ: Flying Horseduck Dice Sets w/ New d4 and Optimized Numbering!

I'm not sure what I want yet, what should I do?

No problem! You can add or change everything in the pledge manager after the campaign, but you will want to pledge now in order to lock in the Kickstarter discounted pricing and get access to the pledge manager. Take a guess at which pledge tier you will want and you can change it later or cancel anytime before the Kickstarter ends. After the project ends you can still cancel anytime for a full refund before your reward ships. If you get your reward and don’t like it you can also return it for a full refund, so no pressure!

How does pledging work?

First, choose a pledge tier. It’s ok if there isn’t a tier with everything you want. You can select any additional items and upgrades in the add-on section. Click the pledge button on your tier and click “continue” to configure your reward.

Next, choose your add-ons and upgrades. This is where you can upgrade to semi-precious stone or chonky 31mm d20s, as well as add additional dice. There are also additional items that can only be purchased as add-ons such as single 23mm d20s and the set of three d6 dice. You can also wait and choose add-ons and upgrades in the pledge manager after the campaign ends.

A couple weeks after the campaign ends you will be able to select the color/stone types for your dice and input your shipping information in the pledge manager. This simplifies the pledge process and lets you choose from all of the options that were unlocked during the campaign.

Can I change my mind after I pledge?

Yes, you can change or cancel your pledge at any time until the campaign ends.

After the campaign ends you can still change your pledge items in the pledge manager. If you decide to cancel before your reward ships, just let me know and I will provide a full refund. If your reward arrives and you aren’t completely satisfied for any reason, contact me within 30 days of delivery and I will pay for the return shipping of your reward and issue a full refund as soon as I receive the return.

What does mathematical balancing mean?

The goal of mathematically balancing a die is to spread the numbers evenly across the die to avoid any areas with concentrations of high or low numbers. A die with a balanced layout will be more fair because a bias of the die will have a smaller impact on the mean roll than it would on a non-balanced layout.

I spent hundreds of hours writing and running programs to mathematically balance the layouts on all these dice and I am extremely happy with the results. I go into much more detail about the numbering design in a section at the bottom of the story page.

BackerKit FAQ

What is BackerKit?

BackerKit is a service that crowdfunded project creators use to keep track of hundreds to tens of thousands of backers—from shipping details, pledge levels, preferences and quantities, whether they have paid or had their card declined, special notes, and everything in between!

The BackerKit software and support team is independent from the campaign’s project team—BackerKit does not handle the actual reward shipping. For more information about the preparation or delivery status of your rewards, please check the project's updates page.

How does BackerKit work?

After the campaign ends, the project creator will send you an email with a unique link to your survey. You can check out a walkthrough of the process here.

I never received my invitation. How do I complete the survey?

The most common reasons for not receiving a survey email is that you may be checking an email inbox different from the email address you used to sign up with Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account, or it may be caught in your spam filter.

Confirm that the email address you are searching matches the email address tied to your Kickstarter, Indiegogo, or Tilt Pro account. If that doesn’t work, then try checking your spam, junk or promotions folders. You can also search for "backerkit” in your inbox.

To resend the survey to yourself, visit the project page and input the email address associated with your Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account.

How do I update my shipping address?

BackerKit allows you to update your shipping address until the shipping addresses are locked by the project creator. To update your address, go back to your BackerKit survey by inputting your email here.

When will my order be shipped, charged or locked?

That is handled directly by the project creator. BackerKit functions independently of the project itself, so we do not have control of their physical shipping timeline. If you want to check on the project’s status, we recommend reading over the project's updates page.

I completed the survey, but haven't received my rewards yet. When will they arrive?

As BackerKit does not actually handle any rewards or shipping, the best way to stay updated on the shipping timeline would be to check out the project's updates page.
